Meet the local people who make technology work!
We encourage you to visit this technology expo to see the quality products and services produced and sold by local entrepreneurs.  We would like to help these small companies grow and become a stronger, more vibrant force in our communities.  We are convinced, once you meet the local people who make technology work, that you will support these small companies.  It is to your benefit to buy your technology locally -- not only will you receive quality products and services equal or superior to that of companies from other states, but your money which is invested locally will be spent locally ..... in your business.
The future of your business depends upon the local economy.
Everyone realizes the importance of buying from local businesses.  Every dollar invested locally rolls over many times, creating a strong, vibrant community.  Once you see all the technology which is available locally, we are convinced that you will consider our local companies for all your future technology products and services.    Not only will local technology help you run your business easier and smarter  -- the dollars you invest in our local people will be used by them to buy your products and services.  That's a good deal for everyone!

The Midlands is home to many technology businesses.  Our entrepreneurs have already made many contributions to the medical, educational and business arenas, and are poised to do even greater things over the next decade.  We are inviting you, the business owner, to help make this happen.

You are cordially invited to visit The Columbia Technology Exposition and see the great things being done in South Carolina.  Once you see all that we offer, we are convinced that you will consider our local companies for all your current and future technology products and services.    Not only will local technology help you run your business easier and smarter  -- the dollars you invest in our local people will be used by them to buy your products and services.  That's a good deal for everyone!

The Columbia Technology Entrepreneur Council (CTEC) is a subset of the South Carolina Technology Alliance, which was created by the legislature in the mid 1990s to ensure the development of programs that will strengthen technology entrepreneurs and promote their needs and contributions.  Members and visitors meet the second Wednesday of each month at the Capital City Club for breakfast and a presentation tailored to their interests, as well as the last Tuesday of each month at Jillian’s Restaurant for wings, chips, relaxation and networking.
Roadrunner Business Class has been a strong supporter of local technology efforts for many years.  Their financial support of this expo has made it possible for these small technology companies to join together to showcase their products.  Road Runner Business Class is an industry leader providing high-speed internet service and broadband solutions to businesses of all sizes. The product has been the South Carolina market for about 4 years and has received JD Power’s Award for best Customer Service and won the coveted PC Magazine Readers’ Choice Award in 2003 for Customer Satisfaction .
Chipco Computers is a local computer dealer with a national client base.  Their financial support of this expo has made it possible for these small technology companies to join together to showcase their products.  Chipco will be showcasing a wide variety of their computer products and services.
The Columbia Museum of Art has shown their support for our technology efforts by allowing us the use of their facilities for this expo.  This is a wonderful location - right in the middle of downtown Columbia!  If you haven't been to the Columbia Museum of Art, this is your opportunity to visit!
Celebrations Special Event Rentals is a locally owned and managed event management and rental company. Some of the events they have managed are the Family Circle Tennis Tournament, Cooper River Bridge Run, Colonial and Carolina Cups, as well as many smaller and local events. Celebrations has generously donated the use of all the table coverings at this event.
See our Exhibitor Listing for a complete list of businesses showcasing their products and services at this expo.
